Who makes Maralea Sun?

We're Dave and Debbie, a husband and wife in southern Utah. Hair runs in Debbie's family. Her grandmother owned and ran her own salon. Her father worked in that salon, then went on to own Hairitage College of Beauty, Hairitage Magazine and his own line of hair products. That's 80 years of family experience in hair, and our formula traces back to her father. Our family used it at home for years before we ever sold a bottle.

To bring it to market, we partnered with a cosmetics manufacturer in Sandy, Utah. We worked side by side with their team to develop the final formula, and they make it for us. It's made only for Maralea Sun. They don't sell it to anyone else, and you won't find it under another label.

What's in Sea Scape shampoo?

Sea Scape is built around Irish sea moss. It's sulfate-free and silicone-free. That means no harsh sulfate cleansers stripping your hair, and no silicone coating that builds up over time. You can see the full ingredient list on our ingredients page.

Is it good for frizzy hair?

What's the difference between Citrus Mist and Unscented?

Only the scent. Both use the same formula and the same ingredients. Citrus Mist has a light citrus scent. Unscented has no added scent, for people who would rather skip it.

How long does a bottle last?

Each bottle is 12 oz. In our house, two of us shampoo every day, and one bottle of shampoo and one of conditioner lasts us about 4 to 6 months.
